A lovely tousled, retro 'do, this hairstyle works really well on thick, wavy hair. But if you don't have naturally wavy or thick hair you can use a volumising and thickening mousse to get the right texture. Pull the hair from the sides and the front up in to two ponytails of equal thickness. Twist each ponytail in to itself. Make sure you grab the hair around the front too. When you get to the back of the head, around the middle, secure the two ponytails together. With your fingers or a comb tease the front and sides of the hair. With the length of the hair that is left use thin tongs or small barrelled curlers to curl the ends of the hair.
