Top ten questions to ask your band or DJ


Ask these essentials to ensure your entertainment goes with a bang!

Questions to ask your band

1. Are we able to hear you play somewhere before the wedding? If not, can we get hold of a CD?

2. How long will you play for?

3. Are you able to provide music during your breaks?

4. Do you have a list of songs you perform?

5. If there’s a song we would particularly like, would you consider learning it for us?



6. What will you wear on the day? Will you need an area to change?

7. What do you require in terms of refreshments? (many bands will ask for some food and soft drinks – be sure
to check their dietary requirements)

8. Are you also able to provide lighting?

9. What are your requirements in terms of sound and lighting?

10. If the party is going with a swing, will you consider playing for longer? What would you charge for this?

1. How long will you play for?

2. Can we put together our own playlist?

3. Do you play music to appeal to all age groups?

4. If we include songs that you don’t have, are you able to get them?

5. Are you also able to provide lighting?

6. What are your requirements in terms of sound and lighting?

7. What do you require in terms of refreshments?

8. Will you take requests from our guests?

9. If the party is going with a swing, will you consider playing for longer? What would you charge for this?

10. If you are unwell on the day, do you have a stand in?
