Babington House guest room - first night

The stylish English country house-style hotel and members club is 10 years old, and launches its new Cowshed Relax Spa, perfect for pre-wedding pampering or romantic first nights

Luxury hotel and members club Babington House - beloved of celebrities including Zoe Ball, who got married there - is 10 years old, and has had a full refurbishment to celebrate.

Newly-engaged couples in search of a romantic weekend away, or just-married brides and grooms looking for a sumptous first night destination, will benefit from many new additions to the propery.

A new room, ‘The Playroom', has been added, and is the largest and grandest bedroom in the hotel with over 65 square meters of space, a spa tub big enough for two, walk-in shower, powder room, fully stocked bar, oversized bed, and a plush interior; all overlooking the grounds and lake.

All Stable Block, Coach and Main House bedrooms have been fully renovated, and the new design has a feel of ‘traditional glamour' using wallpaper, antiques and one-off design classics.

A traditional stone orangery has been built, complete with a glazed central section in the roof, filling the space with natural light, and it is the main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as the ideal space for wedding receptions.

With sweeping views over the herbs and flowers that form part of a signature cowshed infusion, the new Cowshed Relax spa will feature three Walled Garden Bedrooms. All bedrooms are equipped with private entrance, wood burning fireplace, mezzanine level bed, private terrace with copper bath and bespoke George Smith treatment beds.

The main house also has a 45 seat cinema with regular screenings, a library with a range of books and board games, and a pool room with a cigar area for your groom!
