Whether you'd like a silver service dinner or a relaxing barbecue, the wedding breakfast is one of the most important aspects of your wedding day and it's crucial to find the right person to create your menu.
Weve put together our top tips to help you find the ideal company to cater your event.
1. Ask for recommendations
One of the most successful ways of finding suppliers is to ask around. Your venue might have a list of recommended suppliers they have worked with before. Some venues will even insist you employ the services of their chosen caterers. Equally, your cake maker or florist might have worked with a great caterer at a previous wedding.
2. Search in magazines and local directories
Bridal magazines and local publications are a great source of information. Make a list of any caterers who operate in your chosen area and give them a call.
3. Gather information
It's a good idea to contact three or four caterers to make initial enquiries. There's no point making an appointment if they can't cater within your budget, provide the style of menu you're looking for or assist on your chosen date. Ask any potential caterer to send through a list of menus and venues they have previously worked at. It's also a good idea to ask to see testimonials from other happy couples - you want proof that they really do what they say!
