Clearwell Castle, Country House wedding venue
This November, Country House Weddings is celebrating 20 years of hosting weddings in their beautiful country house settings.
The family owned group bought Leez Priory, a stunning Tudor mansion, in November 1988 and have specialised in offering bespoke wedding days in picture perfect settings ever since.
In May 1995, Leez Priory became the first country house in England to obtain a license to hold Civil Wedding ceremonies and the last 13 years has seen a huge change in wedding patterns with almost 70% of all couples now opting for a country house style Civil Wedding ceremony and reception.
Today, the group consists of four country houses: Leez Priory and Gosfield Hall in Essex, Clearwell Castle in Gloucestershire and St Audries Park in Somerset, and has hosted around 6,000 weddings on an exclusive use basis.
The four venues now hold almost 900 weddings per year and pride themselves on offering many fantastic in-house services- food and beverages, wedding planning, overnight accommodation, entertainment, wedding cakes, favours and wedding stationery.
