Disney films have always been full of romance, beautiful princesses in gorgeous gowns, and handsome princes who whisk them off to live happily ever after. No wonder we start imagining our dream wedding when we're still little girls! Now you can make the fantasy into reality; Disney is launching its Fairy Tale Weddings collection, a range of upmarket, couture wedding dresses by American designer Kirstie Kelly. They're inspired by six popular Disney princesses: Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, and Princess Jasmine from Aladdin.
There is also a special wedding dress inspired by Giselle, the heroine in Disney's recent, modern fairy tale, Enchanted, and the collection also features bridesmaid, flowergirl, and jewellery ranges.You needn't worry that you'll look like you're wearing a costume, however; the dresses are elegant, stylish and sophisticated. 'Every look takes its inspiration from the silhouette, palette and characteristics of each Disney Princess story and interprets the spirit of each young woman, ratherh than being a direct representation of the character,' explains Kirstie Kelly.
The dresses come in a variety of luxurious fabrics, including organza, chantilly lace, chiffon, satins and tulle, accented with lace, crystals, pearls and embroidered beading.
